Introduction:

The LLF School of Business was launched on the 6th of June 2016 and is a department of The London Language Foundation located at Limehouse Lock, London E14.

Following the successful accreditation of LLF by the British Council  ‘For the Teaching of English’ at our centre- we are now pleased to expand operations with launching ATHE (Awards for Training and Higher Education). Initially with Business Diplomas on Levels 3, 4 & 5. all fully recognised by Ofqual ( Department of Education) and listed on The Qualifications and Curriculum Framework (QCF) see: ****

·         (This qualification is eligible for funding through the Skills Funding Agency in the 2015-2016 session).

·         Who should do this qualification: This 4 unit level 3 Diploma is ideal for individuals seeking work, or individuals already in work wishing to improve their career development and employability and management skills and/or individuals wishing to access level 4, level 5 and university degree programmes.

Timetables.

·         Friday/Saturday intensive- Day Classes 10am to 1.15  & 2 pm to 5.15 pm (lunch 1.15 to 2pm)

·         Day classes intensive: I day option: 5/6 months, 2 day option 3 /4 months

·         Mon to Friday- F/T, P/T, Evenings- Classes commence at 10am, 2pm and 5.30 pm

·         Length of Programmes : 1-2 months, 3/4 months, 5/6 months, 9 months, 12 months

 

 

Venues:

·        Limehouse- We are conveniently located at Limehouse Lock –just 2 minutes from Limehouse DLR station- with comfortable facilities for our Management and English Language students.

 

 

·         Canada Square- facilities located on Floor 33 at 25 Canada Square- the venue is suitable for our corporate training or international level 4/5 students on full international fees.

 

 

The LLF Training & Teaching Team.

 

   Tim Murari:

Tim has vast experience in Management, Marketing and Corporate Training- both in the public and independent sectors. Recent projects have included training workshops in: Risk Management, Operations Management, Leadership, Presentation skills, Marketing Strategy, Corporate Governance and Marketing and Business Planning.

As principal and Director ,Tim is also suitably networked as to the operation of examination and awarding bodies, Quality Assurance on course delivery and compliance with examination bodies, Ofqual and QCF plus student progression on employability or academic progression to enter undergraduate & post graduate courses at UK universities.

   Sajida Nisa:

Sajida has over ten years experience in FEHE and has held posts as business lecturer and Director of Studies both in the UK and overseas institutions. Qualified with a  Masters in Business Administration, Sajida also holds a PTLLS and DTLLS ( City and Guilds).

Experience includes Quality Assurance, Curriculum management , Course management, student and staff recruitment and liaising with examination, awarding and accreditation bodies.

 

 

    Fiona Richardson:

Fiona Richardson has had a career in education and management spanning thirty years, working in local government and in colleges and universities in both the public and private sector. In addition to a Sociology degree, she has a Master of Education qualification for which she specialised in English Language Teaching and Educational Management. 

 

    Michael Barnes:

Michael Barnes has been a Senior Lecturer at one of the major universities in London for a number of years where he has taught on a range of Marketing and Management modules. He has been Course Director for  a BA(Hons) Marketing and Advertising as well as being an external  examiner for  two universities. He has also taught overseas in Oman.

His experience includes being a dissertation supervisor on post graduate and undergraduate degrees.

He has worked in both the public and private sectors in the higher education field as well as having extensive experience in business.

 

Tarun  Tarun Pathak:

Dr Tarun Pathak has had over sixteen years’ experience in lecturing in Business Studies and related subjects as well as an Examiner and Assessor for various commonwealth Awarding Bodies such as ATHE.

Dr Pathak is self-motivated and energetic, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. He has travelled many places around the world to teach. Dr Pathak is able to bring the quality of his experience and creativity to new ideas and challenges, and is able to work under immense pressure.

 

 

    Tsvetelina Vasileva:

 Is a first degree holder and has also undertaken (in the UK) Diploma programmes in Marketing, Management and Public Relations. Tsvete has a number of years’ experience working as ‘Examination officer’ with an Ofqual recognised examination and awarding body.  She holds the position as joint welfare officer at LLF with suitable CPD on Safeguarding and Health and Safety in relation to the student’s welfare at the college.

 

DanielZattara    Daniel Zattara:

Daniel has over 5 years commercial working experience in the UK and has been involved with LLF since the launch of the language school in June 2014. Daniel is a key part of the office administration and marketing and holds the position as joint welfare officer at LLF with suitable CPD on Safeguarding and Health and Safety in relation to the student’s welfare at the college.

Special Note: Additional team members are being screened prior to adding to the initial pool of  tutors.

 

Quality Check:

We have aimed to select a team of experienced administrators and Tutors/ trainers to deliver a service that we aim to be above average. All LLF team members are DBS and qualification checked and are allocated CPD on a regular basis.

Learning styles:

LLF use the Honey and Mumford Learning Styles Questionnaire

All LLF management students will undertake the LSF to assist the tutor with lesson planning and designing appropriate Schemes of Work (SOW). The LSQ will help us discover whether you are inclined towards being an Activist, Reflector, Theorist or Pragmatist in your styles of learning. We can then aim to improve less preferred styles as required.

Student Welfare:

We aim to offer students and staff a comfortable and secure ‘Learning Environment’. LLF has two team members with specific Welfare and Care responsibilities. All team members have a DBS check as standard. Please see student handbook.

 

Fees and Payment modes:

·         Level 3 Diploma in Business- £2,600 gross fee (Access to student funding via a student study loan also available)

·         Level 4 Diploma in Business (1 year Diploma)- access to university Year 1 or year 2- £6,500 gross fee- (Bursaries up to £4000.00 also available from college for UK and EU students)

·         Level 5 Diploma in Business ( I year Diploma)- access to university Year 1, Year 2 or Final Year ‘Top up’. £6,500 gross fee- (Bursaries up to £4000.00 also available from college for UK and EU students)

·         All fees inclusive of student resources, examination registration and certification.

·         Easy payment system: Deposit, monthly, termly or discounted advance payment.

·         English with Employability skills: 15 Hours per week x 8 weeks = £600 (am or evening options)

·         Work placement option (additional £300)

·         Business English : 1-2-1 from £22.50  per hour , 2-2-1 from £ 15.00 per student per hour,

·         Business English Tailor made group courses- prices based on delivery hours and group size.

Special Note:

·          Students on Level 3 requiring to complete a student loan application will be assisted by the college administration.( by appointment)
